Our Chill Zone series is here to introduce you to the team at Thermo-Kool. We're enjoying showcasing those who are bringing quality products to our customers.
This month we spoke with one of our Team Leaders, Michael Nixon. With us for over 20 years, he ended up at Thermo-Kool by chance. And we're glad he did! Here's a little more about Michael and what he enjoys doing most on a nice afternoon.
It was a 50-50 shot. At the time, I’d interviewed at two separate places. Thermo-Kool called me first, and this is where I ended up. 23 years later, I’m still here.
From where I’m standing, the industry is looking great. Plenty of work.
Beer . . . I mean, Diet Dr. Pepper and red beans and rice.
In the next town over, there’s a restaurant called Crab Queens. Their boudin balls and crab legs are the best in town.
Double Cheeseburger.
Making freeze cups. It’s no secret that Mississippi is hot, sometimes even in the Winter. So, being able to freeze some Gatorade in a blast chiller, shake it up, and make a slushie is pretty important when you’re working out in the factory.
I want to buy another motorcycle and a new truck, and I want to take that motorcycle and ride from one state to another.
Awesome.
Football. There's not enough cold here for anything else.
I'm a Master Mason, I love making money, and there's nothing better than an afternoon riding my motorcycle.
